Image Graphics celebrates ten years of recording the world's highest quality images on archival microfilm

Digital to Microfilm with e-Beam film continues to lead industry

August 12, 2002 -- Image Graphics today celebrated the tenth anniversary of its industry leading microfilm service bureau and its top quality e-Beam Film.

"With ten years of experience and customer satisfaction, we know we have the industry's best microfilm," general manager John Grosso said. "IGI has developed a global network of resellers which is increasing every week.  The next ten years will be even better than the last ten years."

Over that time period, IGI's recording center has recorded tens of millions of images, ranging from rare documents to county records to engineering drawings.  Just a few of the more exciting items IGI's recording center has archived to microfilm include:

bulletThe Brooklyn Bridge's Construction Drawings
bulletCivil War Maps
bulletCornell University's Brittle Books Project
bulletIsaac Newton's Papers
bulletNuclear Power Plants' Technical Specifications and Construction Drawings
bulletRevolutionary War Papers
bulletWalt Whitman's Original Notebooks
bulletThe Williamsburg Bridge's Engineering Drawings

IGI's Recording Center remains the only service bureau capable of recording grayscale digital imagery onto microfilm.  Moreover, it provides imagery on 16mm, 35mm, 105mm, and 5" film output, at any reduction ratio or format - making it a one stop shop for all microfilming needs.

Documents and data are transmitted over the internet to IGI's FTP site 24/7.  The documents are downloaded and converted into archival e-Beam Film using IGI electron beam recorders.

e-Beam Film is the industry's leading digital to archival microfilm.  e-Beam Film is available through IGI's network of e-Beam Film Partners.

The IGI Recording Center provides the base of IGI's Information Processing and Preservation Services Division, which also provides paper to digital and digital to digital document and data conversion as well as records management system design, integration, job control and tracking software, and consulting.
